Aurix Academy of Precious Metals

There's no examined qualification in precious metals. We're building one.

Twenty-four weeks, twelve modules, from the ore body to the making charge. Assessed, examined, and honest about what it is — a professional development credential, not a degree.

Start free. Stop wherever you like.

Each tier is a real exit point with its own award. The Certificate's fee comes off the Diploma price if you carry on, so walking the whole ladder never costs more than the top of it.

Free 8 hours

Hallmarks and HUID, purity testing, making charges, dealer spreads, buyback terms. Everything a buyer gets wrong.

Outcomes

What you'll actually be able to do

Not "understand the gold market". Specific, testable things you can do on a Monday morning.

Verify

Design a test protocol — and say what it still can't rule out

Why XRF cannot see a tungsten core. Why density alone cannot either. What the two together cost you, and how long they take.

Price

Normalise any three offers to price per gram of fine metal

Making charges, wastage, GST, duty and buyback deductions converted into one number you can put side by side.

Read

Take a landed retail price back to the London benchmark

Every component named: benchmark, duty, local premium, fabrication, distribution, margin, tax.

Judge

Test a published forecast against a naive benchmark

And state what would have to be true for it to be skilful. Most of them do not survive the test.

Comply

Trace one transaction's tax, reporting and AML obligations

Across two jurisdictions — and name the one that is most often missed.

Source

Build a due-diligence file that would survive an audit

Against the OECD five-step framework, with recycled gold treated as the risk it actually is.

Assessment

Anyone can sell you a PDF. We make you defend it.

Every candidate verifies their identity at enrolment, submits twelve graded assignments, sits a randomised written examination, builds a professional practice portfolio — and then talks an examiner through it, on camera, for half an hour.

The viva is a mandatory pass. It is also the reason an employer can take this seriously without taking our word for it.

Built for

  • Jewellers and retail staff who sell metal every day and were never taught it
  • Gold-loan and pawn appraisers who need something examined to put in front of an employer
  • Assaying and hallmarking centre staff — India's regulator requires training and names no provider
  • Dealers, refinery and vault staff, and the compliance officers behind them
  • Wealth managers and family-office analysts who field the question and cannot answer it
  • Serious private owners who intend to hold metal for a long time

Not for

  • Anyone looking for trade signals, entry points or price targets. We do not do those.
  • Anyone who wants an academic degree. This is a professional credential and says so.
  • Anyone expecting a certificate for watching videos. There is an examiner at the end.
Plainly Aurix Academy is a trading name of Sandhu Technologies LLC, a private training provider. It is not a university or college. The Professional Diploma in Precious Metals is a professional development credential: it is not a degree, does not carry academic credit, and is not accredited by an accrediting agency recognised by the U.S. Department of Education. Recognition by any employer, regulator or educational institution is outside our control.
